After clicking and hoping to get striaght into advertising I now have to wait for my account to be reviewed.

12 Hours Later

Twelve hours on and they have approved my account . I can now log in…and I got my password right first time too. The first impression I have seems OK, they kindly tell me that I have made $0.00 so I proceed to create my first widget.

It seemed pretty straight forward, I have dropped the code into the sidebar and now lets see if I make anything from it. Stay tuned for earnings updates.

Many people read about success and wish they had what was achieved in the stories. However the only way to achieve success is to act on what you know and have huge motivation to succeed at what you want.

It is no good just sitting and reading this blog, although i don’t mind , feel free to take ideas and try them yourself. The problem is that most of the idea’s have been done before and are just replicated. The trick is to replicate a trend while it is popular and do so with a twist.

There are many over saturated markets online such as web hosting, arcade sites and proxy services. The only ones that are successful are the ones with high search engine rankings.

If you have a new fresh idea that is the next big thing then set about achieving it straight away. Do not wait around because there is a chance that some other entrepreneur will have acted on it and got their first. Naturally there is risk with developing a new idea and investing money to make it work so make sure that the rewards outweigh the risk.

Hard work is required to make money online, it is not just a matter of installing a script and leaving it. The only large amount of money I personally made was by selling one of my sites that I spent a long time developing and putting in a lot of work. I know what it takes to be successful online and you can to if you persist and work hard to reach your goals.

Once you make a sale you order the product from the supplier and it is sent directly to your customers address. You make money by setting your own profit margin on the items that you are selling. For example if it costs £5 from your supplier and you sell it for £10, you get £5 just for promoting the product. Just ensure any postage costs are also covered.

Drop shipping suppliers allow you to create your own online store or sell products on sites such as eBay without having to worry about the shipping of the item. The only issue that may arise is if your supplier runs out of stock therefore delaying delivery of the item.

Drop shipping is a great way to earn extra money. You can process orders in the evenings when returning home from work or you can do it full time. The downside is that your supplier will add more profit for themselves onto the product that there would be if you were buying directly from the manufacturer. However on the upside you do not have to pay to store the stock.

There are many drop shipping suppliers for a whole range of products which allows you to choose one that has products that you want to sell. You need to be careful when choosing your supplier because there are many con artists out there. Do research on the website that you find and look for other customers experiences with them by searching online forums etc.

Selling on eBay has to be one of the best options available to the general public to make some extra money. You can list and sell you items cheaply. I would recommend having a Paypal account to accept payments. Here are a few tips to help you succeed with selling on eBay.

Exposure: eBay is huge and at a small fee it allows you to list an item. Selling items via a website is fine, however eBay already has a huge audience, whereas this is something that has to be achieved by yourself with owning a website.

With the vast amount of visitors, it is very likely that you will find a buyer no matter how common or bazaar your item may be. With the amount of users selling, it will be worthwhile to see what similar items to yours are selling for. This will give you an idea of what price to ask for.

Buy It Now: I would suggest adding a Buy It Now price, sometimes known as a “BIN”. This allows someone who wants the item badly, to be able to pay a fixed price that you are happy with. If someone selects Buy It Now, then the auction will end and the item is sold.

If you have a bulk lot of certain items, you can list the quantity that you have and one will be subtracted each time one is sold.

Should I Reserve?: If you are unaware what the value of your item is then you may consider adding a reserve price. However if you know the value of your item, its best to not place a reserve. If you want to ensure it sells for a certain price then you can always make the starting bid higher. However this may not encourage as many bidders.

Easy Payments:Ensure that your buyers can pay you easily. As suggested above Paypal is a good way to go. Paypal have millions of users, and accepting a Paypal payment is easy. You can even print your postage label through Paypal which will save you a trip to the post office.

Appearance:Always try to make your listing look professional to encourage more bids. Use colours that match to create a nice theme. When listing your item use keywords that relate to your item. If you wanted your item, what would you search for? Use eBay features to enhance your listing if there is enough profit in your sale. Try to use at least one picture so the buyer feels more confident about the item they will receive.

Contact: Try to allow easy communication between you and the users who are viewing your listing. If they have any questions about the item you want to be able to answer them quickly. This will help increase the buyers confidence in you. Be polite to buyers and treat them how you would like to be treated.

Feedback: Naturally you will be more trusted if you have a high positive feedback. Its nice to receive good feedback so ensure that you do the same.

Buying: If you are buying items in bulk to resell or just in general, be careful of fraud. I would only recommend buying on eBay using Paypal or Credit Card. This way you are protected and can fight the seller. Usually when buying an item you want it asap so you can use it or resell it. This is why its important to pay the seller as soon as you can. I would always suggest that when bidding or selecting buy it now, that you pay straight after you have confirmed you want the item.
