A step I seemed to have glanced over in the last post is configuring your proxy site. This is really very simple. Unzip the downloaded folder and open the config file with notepad and enter the details required.

Next you need to register an account with Google AdSense and Adbrite. These are two of the best programs for proxy website. Implement the AdSense code into the config file however ensure AdSense is only on the home page of your proxy. On proxy enabled pages use Adbrite or your AdSense account will be banned.

How do I advertise my proxy?

You want as many users as possible on your proxy. Here are a few ways to advertise it.

Add it to signature links on forums
Use Social Bookmarking websites such as Stumble Upon.
Post on Groups such as Google and Yahoo. Find one relating to proxy sites.
Submit to link directories.
Use Proxy link sites.

Should I Sell My Proxy Website?

There is no reason why you can’t. When you think revenue is at its highest and you have covered your hosting costs then you may wish to sell. Selling may cover initial costs as well so don’t be put off. On the other hand you can create a network of proxy websites. Once this is built up you can sell them as a network and ask for more money.
